Multi Region DVD Hacks - Play DVDs from any Region.

If you are an ex pat in another country and can no longer play your old DVDs on your new DVD player or you are missing your favourite TV shows, because when your family records them to DVD and posts them out to you, you then find you are unable to play them. The reason for this is that DVD players or DVD recorders sold in one region, like the USA region 1 are pre-programmed by the manufacturer to not accept DVDs from regions 2, 3 or 4.
