If you are looking for an affordable low cost metal detector, then consider a Coinmaster metal detector. If you are looking for a multi purpose detector, then consider the White's MXT three function metal detector, which has settings for coins and jewelery, relics or prospecting. The Visual Display Indicator will give you a likely indication of the target such as a ring in coin and jewelry mode, a button in relic mode or iron in prospecting mode.

With Gold prices currently $1,490 US Dollars an ounce and other precious metals increasing in value, more people are taking their metal detectors up to the old panning grounds in search of treasure. However, other places to look for treasure can be in your own backyard, sidewalks, by the river, school playgrounds, old historic sites, forest floors and on the beach, especially after a storm. A metal detector enthusiast found around $3.60m US Dollars (2.8m uk pounds) worth of treasure in a farmer's field in the UK. The British museum purchased the relics and the money was split equally with the farmer and the treasure finder. In July 1715, eleven ships left Cuba, laden with Gold and Treasure destined for Spain. After a hurricane, the ships sank off the Forida Coastline, now known as the Treasure Coast. Recent finds in 6 to 12 feet of water in the Wabasco and Vero Beach areas include $1m of coins in June 2015 and $4.5m of Gold and silver in August 2015. The finds include several coins called Royals valued at $300,000 per coin. Today millions of dollars of treasure are still lost off the Florida Coastline!
